13 SDA Personnel Dredge Channel in Bukit Permai Cibubur

Today, as many as 13 personnel of Ciracas Water Resources (SDA) Unit were deployed to dredge a channel strewn by mud and garbage in the Bukit Permai Cibubur Housing Complex, RW 11, Cibubur Urban Village, Ciracas Sub-district, East Jakarta.

Ciracas Sub-district SDA Unit Coordinator, Deby mentioned, the 50x50-centimeter channel was not functioning optimally due to mud sediment as high as 40 centimeters.

"Mud sediment thickness reaches 40 centimeters. While the channel's height is only 50 centimeters. It means the channel cannot accommodate water optimally during the rain season," he said, Monday (3/7).

This 150-meter-long channel dredging was targeted to be completed in the next three weeks.

"Because the sedimentation is quite thick, we estimate it will take three weeks to complete," he stated.
