South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency officers are deployed to remove piles of garbage and mud at some water channels in the Setiabudi Sub-district, which aims to minimize puddles when it rains heavily.
Those channels are silting up and cannot optimally accommodate water during heavy rains
One of the targeted channels is on Jalan Sultan Agung or precisely in front of the Pasar Rumput Rusunawa, Pasar Manggis Urban Village. The officers managed to remove mud, debris, and plastic bottles from the one-meter-high channel.
Setiabudi Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Yansori said other officers were also spotted dredging up some channels on Jalan Sultan Agung, precisely in front of Pasar Rumput Rusunawa, Pasar Manggis Urban Village; Jalan Minangkabau Barat; Jalan Dr. Satrio; as well as at Tiong and Anggrek connecting channels, Karet Kuningan Urban Village.
