Jakarta will no longer be Indonesia's capital, but it does not mean that Jakarta loses its specificity. For this reason, the Jakarta Government is discussing the substance of the Jakarta Specificity Bill (RUU) that will be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
We have conducted workshops within the provincial government to discuss the substance of the proposed Jakarta Specificity Bill
Jakarta Regional Secretariat Assistant for Governance Sigit Wijatmoko mentioned that the Government had formed internal formulation groups which divided into eight sectors to finalize the substance of the proposed Jakarta Specificity Bill, namely Mobility and Logistics; Economy, Investment, and Spatial Planning; Public Welfare; Fiscal; Politics and Governance; Digital Economy and Readiness; and Support Team.
"We have conducted workshops to discuss the substance of the proposed Jakarta Specificity Bill. A workshop was also recently held on March 29-30, 2022 in Ancol. We are in the process of finalizing this proposal and preparing Jakarta as a global city and economic center even though it is no longer the center of government," he said at Jakarta City Hall, as quoted from Jakarta PPID's Press Release, Monday (4/4).

There are three channels that can be accessed from the website. Those who want to input aspirations and brief hopes for the future of Jakarta (after it is no longer the capital city) can access the first channel, namely, Deliver Your Aspirations. Their aspirations would appear in the aspiration column for their contribution to the development of Jakarta.
The second is Fill out a Survey. You could fill out a survey about moving the capital and their opinion about Jakarta, as well as suggestions, hopes, and expectations for Jakarta in the future. By filling out a survey, you have contributed to helping the Government to provide optimal public services.
The third is Get to Know Jakarta. You can learn more about Jakarta and follow the development process of the Jakarta Specificity Bill. This feature provided an access to the public to find out more about Jakarta's achievements, and its potential if it is no longer the capital, as well as its long history.
