We continue to coordinate providing the best possible service
Of seven terminals, four are main terminals and three are backup terminals. Those four main terminals consist of the Pulogebang Integrated Terminal, Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Tanjung Priok Terminal, and Kalideres Terminal. As for three terminals consist of Lebak Bulus Terminal, Grogol Terminal, and Muara Angke Terminal.
Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head Syafrin Liputo said they were prepared to anticipate the buildup of passengers during the Eid season. Based on the results of coordination with the Ministry of Transportation, around 13 million residents would travel back and forth from the Greater Jakarta area this Ramadan.
Travelers Urged to Comply with Homecoming Travel ProvisionsBased on the evaluation results, travelers from the East could be accommodated at Kampung Rambutan and Pulogebang terminals. While those from the South would be accommodated at Lebak Bulus Terminal.
Then those from the West would be pushed to Grogol Terminal which is also prepared to help travelers from several northern regions.
"In the North, there is a Tanjung Priok Terminal which is relatively smaller. Thus, it is fully backed up at Muara Angke and Grogol terminals," he explained, Tuesday (4/12).
Aside that, together with Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes), his party would set up health posts to serve booster vaccinations and rapid antigen tests for travelers at the seven terminals.
"All travelers will be checked. For those who have received the second vaccine, we direct them to take an antigen test and try to provide a booster vaccination," he uttered.
Road Transport Terminal Management Unit (UPTAJ) Head Syamsul Mirwan expressed there had not been a drastic increase in the number of travelers in such terminals. But it was predicted to happen on the third weekend of April 2022 or a few days before the joint leave period.
"It will happen a few days before the public leave started to get crowded, either short or long trips," he added.
To face it, the seven terminals continue to be improved ahead of the Eid homecoming season, including health posts for bus crews and travelers.
The Autobus companies (POs) that will carry the travelers have also been urged to implement health protocols by preparing spare masks and hand sanitizers on buses or counters.
"We continue to coordinate providing the best possible service," he closed.
