BPBD Siagakan Tim Reaksi Cepat Untuk Respons Segala Potensi Bencana di Jakarta

BPBD Prepares Quick Response Team to Reduce Potential Disasters in Jakarta

To anticipate potential disasters, the Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) has instructed rapid response teams (TRC) to each sub-district in Jakarta to map out disaster-prone areas.

We deploy them (TRC) in every urban village

It is in line with the main functions of BPBD as stated in Gubernatorial Regulation number 260/2016.

"We deploy them (TRC) in every urban village to explore its profile and take an inventory of any potential disasters, such as fires, floods, landslides, etc," expressed Jakarta BPBD Head Isnawa Adji as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Wednesday (4/13).

They were also assigned to record facilities, infrastructure, and all supporting aspects needed when a disaster occurs.

"They will review the designated refugee locations to ensure all supporting elements are ready and appropriate when the disaster occurs, especially in the aspects of health, emergency, and logistics," he expressed.

It was done to ensure the preparedness of all elements at the urban village level in responding to all potential disasters thus it is expected to minimize disaster risk in the community.

"Resident safety is very important for us in carrying out our duties," he asserted.

Therefore, it was hoped that the TRC team would be closer and better known by the public, such as the RT/RW, LMK, FKDM, and public figures in the context of synergies to build a culture of disaster awareness.

"This synergy is very important, while TRC socializes the Jakarta Siaga 112 emergency complaint service to the public," he continued.

So, for those of you who see a disaster, you can immediately contact the Jakarta Siaga 112 Call Center or use the emergency button on the Jakarta Aman app.
