Non Economic Public Transport New Tariff Applied

Following the tariff hike for economic transport, now the hike applies at non economic transport for Kopaja AC and Transjakarta Integrated Feeder Network (APTB) bus. The tariff now is Rp 6,500 from Rp 5,000 for Kopaja AC and Rp 10,000 from Rp 8,500 for APTB.

The hike has started last week for non economic transport such as taxi, APTB, and BKTB

Muhammad Akbar, Jakarta Transportation Department Head said, policy of non economic tariff increase is only issued by the notice without requiring the Governor Regulation (gubernatorial).

"The hike has started last week for non economic transport such as taxi, APTB, and BKTB," he said, Thursday (12/11).

Fuel Price Hike, KRL Passengers Increasing Significantly

Meanwhile, Transjakarta bus tariff is still the same by Rp 3,500 since the Public Service Obligation is given by Jakarta Provincial Government. In addition, Transjakarta bus has nothing relation with the fuel hike because it uses gas fuel (BBG).

Land Transportation Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Emanuel Kris added, new taxi tariff is Rp 8,500 from Rp 7,000. "The highest limit is Rp 8,500 and lowest Rp 7,500. The calculation is based on kilometer with the waiting tariff is Rp 55,000 per hour," he explained.
