Kota Tua Jazz Festival to Color This Weekend

For you jazz music lovers who do not have agenda this weekend, you better come to Kota Tua Jazz Festival that will take place today (12/13) on the courtyard of Fatahillah Museum, Kota Tua, Central Jakarta.

A number of veteran jazz musicians will enliven the festival held by Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department. They are Dwiki Darmawan, Dewa Budjana, Simak Dialog, Krakatau Ethno, Bandanaira, Sri Hanuraga, Yuri Jo Collective, Ligro Trio, Nial Djoeliarso Trio, Rio Moreno Latin Combo, and Ina Ladies.
“We as musicians salute the Jakarta History Museum that opens an area not only for tourists, but also wants to create Kota Tua as a jazz event stage,” stated Dwiki Darmawan on the sidelines of a press conference at Wayang Museum, Kota Tua, Friday (12/12).

Meanwhile, Head of Sejarah Jakarta Museum, Enny Prihantini, informed that this festival takes place from 9 AM-11 PM. Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ T Purnama is scheduled to open this event.
“We hope this Kota Tua Jazz Festival would become one of promotion tools for Kota Tua as Indonesia’s cultural heritage,” she said.
