660 Workers Receive Food Assistance at West Jakarta Mayor's Office

As many as 660 workers from various trade unions received food packages assistance in Ali Sadikin Room, West Jakarta Mayor's Office.

Hope the benefits will be felt for the workers

West Jakarta Economic and Development Assistant Imron said the assistance was the result of a collaboration between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), as well as West Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy (Nakertransgi) Sub-agency.

"This aid distribution is carried out in commemoration of International Workers' Day or May Day," he expressed, Tuesday (4/26).

He explained that May Day is usually celebrated every 1 May. However, because it coincided with the momentum of Ramadan, the May Day celebration was finally brought forward.

"Hopefully, it can lighten the workers' burden to meet the needs during Ramadan," he uttered.

West Jakarta Nakertransgi Sub-agency Head Jackson Sitorus uttered the 660 food packages contained five kilograms of rice, one kilogram of sugar, and one kilogram of cooking oil.

"Hope the benefits will be felt for the workers," he hoped.
