East Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department is going to install smart-street lights on December 22 in order to simplify its maintenance. Tuti Kurnia, Head of East Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department expressed smart-street light serves to control the lights, whether it is still work or not.

As planned, she stated, Utan Kayu and Pasar Rebo areas would be a pilot for smart lights installation. Because of it is still a trial, both areas will be installed 25 smart lights. all types of lights are LED with power 40 watts.

In 2015, she furthered, 8,000 smart-street lights also scheduled to be installed along Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, Jalan Pramuka, Jalan Raya Bogor and Jalan Raya Bekasi.

Kurnia added, such installation is one of the energy-saving program. The smart light has the advantage where its power can be increased and decreased by itself at a certain moment.
