Tidal Wave, Kapuk Muara Citizens Attacked by Itching

It is already the last two weeks, a tidal wave as high as 10-60 cm engulfed citizens houses located at RW 1, Kapuk Muara Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-District, North Jakarta. Due to this condition, itching started attacking citizens. 

If the condition is worst, we will set up a health post or send medical personnel to the field

Based on the latest data, the number of flood victims is reaching at least 1,000 households.

Siti Farida, (51), one of citizens at RT 02/01, Kapuk Muara disclosed she had suffered from itching since three days ago. "Every night, I always feel itching in the legs. If it does not go away, I will check it to the community health center (puskesmas) on Monday," she complained, Friday (12/26).

Kampung Apung Inundated Again, 4 Houses Collapsed

Vice Chairman of RW 01, Kapuk Muara Urban Village, Zainuri added the peak of tidal wave occurred on Wednesday (12/24) about 50 cm.

"The inundation has receded gradually right now. Indeed, many citizens are complaining on itching," he expressed.

He furthered the flood still inundates RT 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, and part of RT 06 as well as RT 07/RW 01. 

Meanwhile, Head of North Jakarta Health Sub-Department, Bambang Suheri admitted he has not received a report about itching at RW 01 Kapuk Muara. Nevertheless, he plans to check it as soon as possible.

"If the condition is worst, we will set up a health post or send medical personnel to the field," he disclosed.
