Commission A Appreciates Jakarta's Haste to Rebuild Gembrong Market

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD)'s Commission A Member Abdurrahman Suhaimi appreciated the Jakarta administration's action to revitalize the Gembrong Market area as a new residence for fire victims in RW 01, Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

According to him, it is a form of partisanship and concern from the administration for residents who experienced a fire accident some time ago.

"I appreciate the Governor, the Mayor of East Jakarta, and ranks who have quickly helped the fire victims," he expressed after attending the groundbreaking ceremony, Friday (7/1).

Gembrong Market Area Designated as Disaster Preparedness Village

He explained that they needed the house as they did not have much money to rebuild it.

"136 residences will be built on a 1,200-square-meter-wide land. I hope it brings happiness to them who are still relocated temporarily in the flats," he explained.

He also appreciated the Jakarta Baznas Bazis for collaborating to realize the construction of the Gembrong Market area that would be renamed Gembira Gembrong Village for Rp 7.8 billion.

"Hopefully, the construction will be completed on time," he continued.

He added that residents need to work together to maintain their new village and be more careful about using tools that could trigger a potential fire.

"This fire is certainly a valuable lesson. Residents must pay close attention to the use of electrical installations and gas stoves, so use those following SNI," he closed.
