Jakarta Melayu Festival Runs Lively with Malay Singer Performances

The Jakarta Melayu Festival (JMF) event which was held at Beach City, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol yesterday, Wednesday (8/17), went lively.

We have just witnessed the awarding of awards to those who have contributed during the pandemic

The event presented the performance of Malay singers, namely Mustafa Balasyik, Sulis Zehra, Shena Malsiana, Nong Niken, Kiki Ameera, Shreya Maya, Darmansyah, Takaeda, Alfin Habib, Seroja Band, and Anwar Fauzi Orkestra, as well as Olvah Alhamid as MC Erie Suzan

At that time, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan took the opportunity to hand over certificates of appreciation to representatives of eight public workers who have contributed to helping the community survive the Covid-19 pandemic.

Those eight public workers were namely Aldrin Neilwan Panca Putra from Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) for Jakarta; Jajang S Rahmat Solichin from Indonesian Nurse Association (PPNI) Jakarta; Dwi Oktavia from the Indonesian Association of Epidemiologists for Jakarta; Ayub Fardan from Jakarta Emergency Ambulance Service (AGD); M Yasin from the Covid-19 Mortuary Service, Sadam Saiful from the Rorotan Covid-19 Cemetery Service, Endra Muryanto from Jakarta Regional Health Laboratory (Labkesda), and Com. Pol. Langgeng Purnomo from Polda Metro Jaya.

"We start by being grateful for the healthy pleasures of enjoying the beach together after three years. We have just witnessed the awarding of awards to those who have contributed during the pandemic," he expressed, Wednesday (8/17) night.

PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Commissioner Geisz Chalifah who also served as a Producer of the 2022 JMF uttered that the 10th JMF this time was the first activity after the last one was held in 2019. Therefore, the activity which was held for the first time after the pandemic was themed Teurimong Geunaseh.

"Teurimong Geunaseh's sentence comes from the Acehnese language meaning thank you. I have the intention of giving awards to those who have contributed during the pandemic," he stated.
