To appreciate the excellent collaboration with international stakeholders during their five years in office, the Jakarta Provincial Government and Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan held the Jakarta International Collaboration Reception at the Fine Arts and Ceramics Museum, Monday (10/10) night.
Hopefully, we can maintain collaboration between Jakarta and all these institutions, as well as inter-city friendship
"Tonight, we met with the international community of Jakarta to strengthen our relationship, at the same time we both said goodbye, the task in Jakarta is almost finished. Jakarta is a global city, in this city not only people from all over the archipelago gather but also the international community. And tonight, we invite the ambassadors, including the leaders of international organizations. We thank you for the collaboration so far," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
He hoped that this well-established collaboration could be maintained, continued, and even enhanced. It was because the governor wanted the international community in Jakarta to be Jakarta ambassadors who share their experiences of living and collaborating in this city with the world.
City Efforts to Fix Economy and Investment In the Last Five Years"Hopefully, we can maintain collaboration between Jakarta and all these institutions, as well as inter-city friendship. Because as long as we are on duty in Jakarta, this friendship with the international community is built and maintained and we want them to become Jakarta's ambassadors to the international community. They tell us what is happening in Jakarta, progress in Jakarta, thus we can attract more international collaborators in Jakarta,” he explained.
He also invited the ranks of the Jakarta Government to continue and strengthen collaboration with the world community in Jakarta. Moreover, Jakarta is a city that has the most international "think tank" (organizations that produce policy-oriented research on domestic issues) in Indonesia.
"No other city in Indonesia has as many international institutions as Jakarta, which has as many think tanks and International Development Institutions as Jakarta, all based here. It's a shame if they don't become partners, as they can help us in many ways. That's why we have partnered for 5 years," he continued.
In his speech, he appreciated the various collaboration programs between the Jakarta Government and international collaborators, including the handling of Covid-19, village planning, public transportation transformation, and so forth.
