Enjoying S. Sudjojono's Painting Through Digital Art

The painting by Maestro S. Sudjojono, combined with digital video projection mapping technology, is one of the interesting creations being carried out at the Jakarta Digital Art Festival.
The exhibition titled S. Sudjojono The Immersive Experience initiated by the Jakarta Provincial Government through Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Parekraf), lasted for two days, precisely from Saturday (12/3) to Sunday (12/4) at the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics.

"This is one proof of the presence of the Government to form an ecosystem in the fine arts sub-sector," he explained.
Creative Economy Division Head, Gumilar Ekalaya added there were several interesting things from the event, one of which was the use of digital video projection mapping technology that could make people enjoy works of art more attractively.
“We want to combine the Maestro's artwork, S.Sudjojono with digital artwork. With today's technological advances, these two works can be made into works that are more alive," he expressed.
Enjoying S. Sudjojono's brush strokes in a different form can be an experience in itself for tourists. This event shows that tourism and the creative economy can present something unique.
"We're collaborating with Indonesian maestro painters with video projection mapping," he explained.
S. Sudjojono is a name that is familiar to art lovers. The painter who was born on December 14, 1913, and died on March 25, 1985, is known as the Father of Indonesian Modern Fine Arts.
He earned this nickname because he was the first Indonesian artist to introduce the modernity of Indonesian art by reality.
