Here is Result of Food Safety Supervision on New Year's Eve

We will summon the traders for clarification

The Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency, tested 203 samples of snakes from 202 coached MSMEs (Jakpreneur) who participate in the New Year celebration.

Based on the examination results, two samples of snacks in the form of tofu and yellow noodles were found to contain formalin. It was done through Jakarta Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BBPOM), Health Agency (Dinkes), KPKP Agency, and Satpol PP.

PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo disclosed that the snacks that were found to contain formalin were immediately destroyed by the trader in question accompanied by Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS) from her staff

"We will summon the traders for clarification," she expressed, Tuesday (1/3).

As for the information, the PPKUKM Agency and related regional apparatus organizations (OPDs) made public security against snacks on New Year's Eve from December 30 to 31, 2022.

It aimed at ensuring the snacks being sold are free of harmful ingredients such as formalin, borax, matanyl yellow, and rhodhamin B.

It was carried out by the sub-district health centers using a test kit accompanied by the PPKUKM Agency and Satpol PP to follow up if positive findings were found from sample testing.

"Traders who are the target of securing food for snacks on New Year's Eve consist of coached MSMEs and pop-up traders," she added.

It refers to Law No. 8/1999 on Consumer Protection, No. 36/2009 on Health, and No. 22/2012 on Food.

1. Thamrin 10, Jalan Thamrin, Central Jakarta

2. Loksem JP 65, Jalan Mohamad Yamin, Menteng, Central Jakarta

3. Loksem JP 09, Jalan Kampung Lima, Menteng, Central Jakarta

While the test locations on December 31:

1. Sarinah

2. Bundaran HI

3. Under Casablanca Flyover

4. FX Sudirman

5. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah
