The Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Agency (Dukcapil) continues to improve services to its residents in terms of proposing death certificates.

The Jakarta Provincial Government already has a standard processing time of 15 minutes. Moreover, the process is also easy and free.
North Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-agency Head, Edward Idris expressed that to propose a death certificate for residents, it was enough to come directly to the Dukcapil Service Unit at the sub-district office or residents could do it online via ALPUKAT Betawi application which can be downloaded via an Android-based platform.

He explained that the requirements that must be met are the original death certificate (can be from the hospital/Proof of Visum), Identity Card (KTP) and Family Card (KK) of the deceased, original KTP of the deceased's spouse (if there is a spouse who is still alive), and photocopy of KTP and KK of the reporting party (as a witness).
For the condition for stillbirth, the applicant can attach a certificate of gestational age (at least 28 weeks), a certificate of birth and death from the hospital, a photocopy of the parents' KTP and KK, along with a complete marriage certificate.
As for the requirements for a death certificate abroad can attach the KTP and KK of the deceased, the original KTP of the spouse of the deceased (if there is a spouse who is still alive), a photocopy of the death certificate abroad, and showing the original, a photocopy of the death certificate from the Embassy or Consulate General and showing the original and photocopy of the deceased's passport and show the original.
