Residents Appreciate Greening Program in Jakarta

I support Jakarta which is cool, fresh, and pollution free

Residents expressed their appreciation for the greening program being intensified by Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono by planting trees in assets owned by the Jakarta Provincial Government.

As stated by Nur Asih (37), a motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver who fully supports greening in Jakarta. Apart from making Jakarta more beautiful, greening is also deemed effective in reducing air pollution.

Heru Expects Wider Area Revitalization in Jakarta

"I support Jakarta which is cool, fresh, and pollution free," she said, Friday (1/27).

The same statement also came from Mufidah (45), a resident of RT 02/10, Cempaka Putih Timur. He expressed his area has become greener with various plants growing since the intensification of the tree-planting campaign.

"The alley of my house is green and shady. It's not so hot during the day," he admitted.

Cempaka Putih Timur Urban Village Head, Shinta Purnama Sari uttered his side would try to green his area by planting trees in Jakarta's assets.

"In a day, we can plant 10 trees. Thus far, around 700 trees have been planted," he said.
