PPSU Personnel Alerted to Anticipate Inundation in North Jakarta

Some 30 PPSU personnel of Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village have been alerted to ten flood-prone areas spread across North Jakarta from morning until late afternoon.

We are still on standby to anticipate further situations

Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village Head, Abdul Buang the 30 PPSU personnel in the field were assigned to monitor and clean water channels that can trigger inundation.

"No inundation so far. If it is detected, it is just minor and won't cause a traffic jam," he said, Wednesday (2/1).

Those ten roads are Jalan Yos Sudarso: Artha Gading Pedestrian Bridge (JPO), Yos Sudarso Toll Road Gate, Hangtuah Bus Stop/Kodamar, derivative of Artha Gading Flyover, derivative of Honda Toll Road to next to ITC Flyover. There is no inundation in these locations so far.

There are also Jalan Boulevard Barat: MOI Gate (A, B, and C), Pacific Lottr Plaza, Gading Marina/Pos POMAL, and Hypermart. They are still safe from inundation. But, inundation as high as five centimeters were found at the MOI Bridge, Batavia Building, and BRI/Holland/BCA shophouse area, but it was receded already.

Then on Jalan GBI next to Lottemart, Mitra Hospital, in front of GBI Shophouse, and Jalan Nias Raya in front of Santika Hotel, as well as Jalan BGR in front from Penabur School, where they are safe from inundation.

The same condition is also spotted on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, Jalan Pelepah, Jalan Boulevard Utara, Jalan Hibrida to Jalan Boulevard Artha Gading.

"Our officers have also checked 10 pump houses and they are still conducive. We are still on standby to anticipate further situations," he closed.
