Opening RKPD Forum, Heru Conveys 2024 Jakarta Development Policy Direction

To involve community participation in the development of Jakarta, the Jakarta Provincial Government held a Public Consultation Forum for 2024 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) at the Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (2/14).

The forum itself was attended by ministries/institutions, Forkopimda, DPRD, regional apparatuses, experts, universities, International organizations, NGOs, and community organizations.
When he opened the forum, Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono said that the direction of Jakarta development is to increase the resilience of the city through strengthening the economy and strengthening the quality of basic services.

According to him, it was a good opportunity for the Jakarta Government and all stakeholders to collaborate, synergize, as well as share input.
Thereby, he asked for input from all stakeholders to become material in perfecting the 2024 Jakarta development plan.
"This input can be submitted through this forum or other channels that we provide," he continued.
He also explained that Jakarta's economy in 2022 would grow 5.25 percent (c-to-c) and inflation would be maintained in the range of 3 + 1 percent (y-o-y).
This achievement in 2022 is certainly good news amid forecasts of an economic slowdown in 2023. Jakarta's economy is also projected to grow 6.4 percent in 2024.
Nevertheless, Jakarta as a global city needs to be alert in anticipating the possibility of a decline in economic conditions due to international conflicts.
"Responding to these conditions, Jakarta's resilience in facing various conditions is needed," he continued.
To regional, he wanted them to ensure that the planned regional development program must be able to spur good quality growth in the economic, social, and environmental fields.
By doing so, the 2024 development target is achieved effectively and efficiently. Priority programs include handling floods, traffic jams, spatial planning, and handling extreme poverty with a target of 0% in 2024, as well as a target for the stunting rate to fall below 5%.
"Make sure all budget proposals are allocated for regional spending. Not only achieving output, but also having to achieve outcomes and provide benefits to the community at large, as well as adhering to the principles of budget efficiency and effectiveness. It includes formulating activity programs that have the potential to be funded with funding or financing schemes other than the City Budget (APBD). Thus the acceleration of regional development can be accelerated," he added.
Acting City Secretary, Uus Kuswanto was also seen in the forum, including Jakarta Bappeda Head, Atika Nur Rahmania; Jakarta Branch Bank Indonesia Representative Head, Arlyana Abubakar; mayors in five regions; Seribu Islands Regent; Jakarta DPRD leaders; and Jakarta Forkopimda leaders.
