Heru Gives Compensation to Late David Jacobs' Family

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono expressed his deep sorrow over the death of Indonesian Paralympic table tennis athlete Dian David Michael Jacobs last Friday (4/28).

During his life, he made many contributions to make Indonesia proud

As an expression of condolences, the Acting Governor handed over work accident compensation to the family of the deceased at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (5/9).

"Not long ago, we lost an athlete with disabilities, the pride of Indonesia, namely Dian David Michael Jacobs from Jakarta. During his life, he made many contributions to make Indonesia proud in various international table tennis tournaments, as well as serving as Chair of Jakarta National Paralympic Committee (NPC)," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He hoped that this compensation could comfort and ease the burden and sorrow of the family of the deceased.

"Hopefully, it can help ease the burden and sadness experienced. All the achievements and services that have been inscribed by him we will never forget. Farewell, David Jacobs," he hoped.

David Jacobs is an Indonesian mainstay table tennis athlete who plays in individual and doubles events.

In his career as an athlete, he has collected 13 gold medals, four silver medals, and four bronze medals. These medals were won at 2012 London Paralympics, the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, Asian Para Games (2010, 2014, 2018), and Asian Championships (2013, 2015, 2019).
