City Holds Open Selection for Primary Higher Leadership Posts

The Jakarta Provincial Government opens opportunities for civil servants who meet the requirements to register and take part in the Open Selection for Pratama (Echelon II) High Leadership Positions under Jakarta Government. It was conveyed through Announcement Number 3/2023 on Open Selection for Primary High Leadership Positions within Jakarta Government, dated May 22, 2023.

This is conducted by a selection committee

City Secretary as Chair of Open Selection Committee for Primary High Leadership Positions, Joko Agus Setyono said the open selection is in accordance with provisions of Law Number 5/2014 on State Civil Apparatus, Governmment Regulation Number 11/2017 on Management of Civil Servants, and State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Regulation Number 15/2019.

Aside that, the open selection must obtain written recommendations and approval from the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) according to article 120, Law Number 5/2014 and Home Minister according to article 132A, Government Regulation Number 49/2008.

"This is conducted by a selection committee, which is made based on recommendations from KASN and consists of academics, experts/practitioners/professionals, as well as officials from government agencies both internal and external to Jakarta Government. This open selection will be opened for civil servants from Jakarta Government and civil servants throughout Indonesia (nationally) for several positions," expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Tuesday (5/23).

The names of the positions opened for National Civil Servants in this Open Selection are Head of Regional Asset Management Agency, Head of Legal Bureau for Regional Secretariat, and Head of Bureau of Mental and Spiritual Education for Regional Secretariat. Meanwhile, those who are open for civil servants under Jakarta Government are Head of Goods/Services Procurement Agency; Head of Bina Marga Agency; Head of Health Agency; Head of Communication, Informatics and Statistics Agency; Head of Public Housing and Settlement Agency; Deputy Head of Regional Financial Management Agency, and East Jakarta Administration City Secretary.

Related to the positions of Education Agency Head and Council Secretary, there has not been an open selection due to special criteria. For instance, in the position of Head of Education Agency, there are adjustments to Organizational Structure of Working Procedures and education programs in schools, such as Free Learning Curriculum, 2013 National Curriculum, and so on which still require adjustments at school level.

As for Council Secretary, it still requires adjustments and coordination regarding related to Household Structure and Organization for supporting devices needed at Jakarta DPRD.

4. Field competency test by writing papers

5. Managerial and sociocultural tests with assessment tests

6. Panel interview

7. Health check-up and drug free

To take part in this open selection, each participant is required to fill in data properly and correctly, and can only register for the desired position. This registration requirements and guidelines can be accessed and downloaded via the registration page.

The open selection period is approximately 30 working days and is planned to start at the end of May 2023.
