6,000 Packaged Rice Meals Sent to Fire Victims

Central Jakarta Administration is distributing 6,000 packaged rice meals and 700 blankets for fire victims in RT 16/12 Kebon Melati Urban Village, Tanah Abang. The aid is placed at the office of Tanah Abang Sub-District, and will then sent to victims who displaced in RW 12 and RW 14 offices.

"Of the 6,000 meals, we distribute 2,000 meals in a day. It was from Social Sub-Department, Indonesian Rod Cross (PMI) and Muslim Charitable Donations Board (Bazis)," said Central Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Arifin, Saturday (3/7). 

Besides that, his sub-department also sent 700 blankets, school uniforms, and clothes. Its distribution will be managed by each RW.

Fire Victims 'Children' will Be Donated School Uniforms

"We also set up a health post because of many victims suffering from cough due to smoke inhalation or traumatized fire," he expressed.

Separately, Head of Central Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Susana Budi Susilowati expressed the needs of fire victim is still being recorded. Thus, the aid can be provided on target.

At the fire location, she continued a 60-year-old lady without family was secured to be brought to the Cengkareng's Tresna Werda Budi Mulia 2 Social Institution.
