Celebrating City's Anniversary, Dispusip Launches New Logo

In its 46th anniversary, the Jakarta Library and Archive Agency (Dispusip) was marked by the launch of the new logo and website dispusip.jakarta.go.id, Thursday (6/15).

This anniversary celebration is held for the first time

Jakarta Dispusio Head, Firmansyah said the date for Jakarta Dispusip's anniversary is in accordance with the decree on the establishment of Jakarta Dispusip by Governor Ali Sadikin, on June 15, 1977.

"This anniversary celebration is held for the first time," he expressed.

Regarding the new logo, he emphasized that the aim is to re-brand Dispusip, thus it can be accepted by the public with a millennial design. The logo was chosen from 10 suggestions that came from its ranks.

According to him, the logo which consists of pictures of books, document files, and monas has its own meaning. Books represent libraries, document files represent archives, and Monas images represent Jakarta.

"The dispusip.jakarta.go.id website contains our profile and services," he added.

Hopefully, the momentum of the anniversary celebration is a strengthening momentum and a reminder of Dispusip's role in Jakarta. In the future, he will cooperate with all stakeholders and the community in Jakarta to work together to develop libraries and archives.

"With literacy, we have civilization and know where to take it and educate the nation's children as successors. Likewise with archives, as long as there is a state there are archives, as they are related to people's lives," he uttered.
