Acting Governor Heru Visits Kalibata TMP and Karet Bivouac TPU

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono made a pilgrimage to the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP), South Jakarta and Karet Bivak TPU, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Saturday (6/17).

This is certainly a spirit for Jakarta Government officials

Together with officials under Jakarta Provincial Government, he attended a ceremony of respect and a procession of silence which ended with laying wreaths and laying flowers for the heroes and national figures at the two locations.

He explained the pilgrimage to Kalibata TMP and Karet Bivouac TPU apart from praying for the spirits of heroes and national figures was also in commemoration of Jakarta's 496th anniversary.

"I also took time to go to the Karet Bivouac TPU to sow flowers and pray for the heroes who have built the city of Jakarta, Mr. Husni Thamrin and Ismail Marzuki," he expressed.

He continues the pilgrimage was to offer prayers and encourage himself and the ranks of Jakarta Government to continue working towards a better city. He expressed his gratitude for the struggle and the work of the heroes and national figures so as to carve a history that must be remembered by successors.

"And we as successors will continue his thoughts which are indeed suitable for developing Jakarta in the future. This is certainly a spirit for Jakarta Government officials," he said.
