Participants Enthusiastically Take Part in Policy Fest 2023 Event

Dozens of participants enthusiastically took part in the Policy Fest 2023 held in the Lobby Room, Floor 1, Jakarta City Hall Building, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Saturday (6/17).

Jakarta Smart City BLUD Head, Yudhistira Nugraha said there are many activities that participants can take part in the Policy Fest event. One of them is a talk show with the theme, digital economy regarding artificial intelligence in public policy navigating opportunities and challenges.

"For activities with this theme the focus is on sharing, in relation to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in policy making," he expressed, on the sidelines of a talk show during Policy Fest at City Hall.

According to him, AI is of no use if there is no data. Therefore, data is the most important for AI to work. And how that AI works is currently a challenge, especially in the context of Smart City.

For the implementation of Smart City in Jakarta in the context of AI, his party is developing in three schemes. The first is sensing, understanding, and acting. That is, how the policy intervention is based on data.

The stages, starting from sensing, namely data must be fast, accurate, integrated, and so on. Then go into understanding using machine learning, AI and all kinds. The results of the AI modeling are used to carry out data-based policies. He cited, this policy was carried out by the Jakarta Provincial Government in flood control.

"So, the output of this activity is this AI grows together with the problems that exist in urban areas. Then the policy is also in accordance with the needs of society. However, with its advantages and disadvantages, AI, which is indeed important and interesting, must also be combined with humans because they have whois," he explained.

Andi (24), one of the student participants, said that the Policy Fest event is very useful, especially for the millennial generation, thus they could open their minds, understand, and understand future developments that will be increasingly sophisticated.

"With AI, the millennial generation is expected to use their minds to continuously create, innovate, and so on for progress. And I appreciate the holding of this activity," he added.
