Acting Governor Donates One-Ton Cow for Idul Adha

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono handed over a one-tonne type of qurban animal for Idul Adha 1444 Hijri.

Jakarta KOPRI Acting Secretary, M Arif Rachman said the Acting Governor would hand over a cow to be slaughtered after performing Idul Adha prayers in the City Hall courtyard.

"The Acting Governor handed over a one-tonne cow to the qurban committee and was then taken to the Dharma Jaya Slaughterhouse (RPH)," he expressed, Thursday (6/29).

He explained the donation of one cow was also handed over by City Secretary, Joko Agus Setyono and Jakarta Deputy Governor for Culture and Tourism, Marullah Matali.

"In total, as many as 29 cows and nine goats are collected from the regional apparatus organization (OPD) at City Hall to be slaughtered on Idul Adha," he explained.

He added the collection of qurban animals was also carried out by OPDs in five city areas and administrative districts. In total, there were 233 cows and 393 goats collected on Idul Adha.

"Hundreds of animals that have been collected at the provincial, city, and district levels will be distributed for stunting alleviation, the poor, social institutions under the auspices of the Social Agency and religious or social institutions and foundations in Jakarta," he stated.
