Sodetan Construction on Panggang Island Completed

The Seribu Island Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has completed the sodetan (crossing channel) contruction in residential area, RT 07/02 Panggang Island, North Seribu Islands.
It is done to follow up on locals' requests and has been completed
Seribu Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri said the sodetan as long as 10.5 meters was planned to be buult with a drainage control box in the size of 50x40x20 centimeters.
"The location includes a basin area, which is prone to puddles when it rains. So, we made a sodetan using a pipe channeled into the sea," he said, Monday (7/17).

"It is done to follow up on locals' requests and has been completed. It aims to prevent inundation," he added.
Panggang Island Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Fakih Burhanudin confirmed that the surrounding area was often inundated if the rain intensity was high. Because of that, the construction was urgently needed.
"Thank God, we managed to complete residents' requests one by one," he said.
