Based on beritajakarta.com observation, the condition of the market is unworthy as the trading place. The market used poles in order to anticipate collapse. Besides, the roofs have leaked thus it swamps the floor and makes the vendors and visitors feel uncomfortable.
"Currently, the condition of the building is unworthy and vendors hoped it could be rebuilt," said one of the vendors, Usdin Nainggolan, Monday (3/16).
Renovation of Senen Market will Accommodate Old MerchantsHe added, re-building planning has been socialized by PD Jaya Market to the vendors.
"We want it could be realized this year. Because, the visitors are afraid that it would fall down," he expressed.
Public Relation of PD Jaya Market, Agus Lamun, hoped the reconstruction of Inpres Blok VI Senen Market could be implemented this year. His side have held a socialization to the vendors and it is expected to get a deal.
"Kiosk rental rates has been socialized to the vendors and it is expected to get a deal," he hoped.
Eventually, he continued, the market will be inte
grated with train station and shelter . "The concept is modern yet traditional as it still uses bargaining transaction," he explained.
