The Jakarta Financial and Asset Management Body (BPKAD), Heru Budi Hartono stated, the increasing of the allowance for the council has been suggested by Jakarta Provincial Government in 2015 Draft Budget and it was agreed by the Home Affairs Ministry (Kemendragri).
"By mutual agreement, the residential allowance for the head and vice head of city council will increase to Rp 40 million a month. While for the members the allowance reached to Rp 30 million a month," he stated, at City Hall, Thursday (3/19).
Council's Rp 12 T Budget still Refused, Ahok SaysHe explained, the reason for increasing of the allowance is because since 2003 it has never been increased. "We insist that the budget will be proposed to the governor," he explained.
Head of Jakarta Civil Service Agency (BKD), Agus Suradika added, since 2003 the residential allowance for Jakarta council amounted to Rp 15 million a month. Therefore, Jakarta Provincial Government intends to increase its number to Rp 30 million and the leaders get Rp 40 million a month.
"The councils got the allowance amounted Rp 15 million a month every year. For this year, it will be increased as it is their right," he revealed.
