East Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Sub-agency (Nakertransgi) is holding a job fair in the Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC), Kramat Jati from Monday (9/18) until Tuesday (9/19), offering 3,000 vacancies.
Hopefully, this year's job fair can absorb more applicants
It was directly opened by Jakarta Nakertransgi Agency Head, Hari Nugroho accompanied by East Jakarta Nakertransgi Sub-agency Head, Galuh Prasiwi.
This job fair has a fairly high absorption capacity in overcoming the unemployment rate in Jakarta which currently reaches 330,000.
Job Fair at Tamini Square Offers 3,000 Vacancies"Of course, this really helps overcome the problem of unemployment. There are a lot of people interested, as can be seen from the large queues of people," stated Nakertransgi Agency Head.
He explained job seekers who fail the selection at the job fair could register for job training at regional job training centers (PPKD) in five areas of the capital, the Pasar Rebo Job Training and Industrial Development Center (PPKPI) or at the Condet Job Training Center for Welding Development (PPKPL). There they are trained according to their chosen vocation and graduate to obtain certification for working capital.
"Those whose skills are still lacking can register at PPKD, PPKPI or PPKKPL. Because private companies will also look at the certification of job seekers," he explained.
East Jakarta Nakertransgi Sub-agency Head, Galuh Prasiwi explained there were 3,000 vacancies from 37 private companies in East Jakarta.
It is the second job fair held by the party this year. The first was held on July 26-27 in the TMII area, with the same number of companies.
There were 2,429 job seekers who came at that time and 966 took part in interviews. However, only 245 passed and got the job.
"Hopefully, this year's job fair can absorb more applicants," he hoped.
Tania Friska Amana (18), a job seeker who graduated from SMAN 30 Cempaka Putih 2022, admitted that she was really helped by a job fair program like this.
"I want to apply to a retail company as an SPG," he stated.
