The Jakarta Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) again held Kongko Pagi Semakin Dapat Pengetahuan (Kopi Sedap) via Zoom Thursday (10/12).
Jakarta can become a business, financial, trade city and service center
The 15th edition of Kopi Sedap with the theme 'Toward a Jakarta Global City' was attended by Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, Deputy Governor, inspectors, OPD leaders, mayors, and regents, as well as Hospital directors and BUMD directors.
The speakers at Kopi Sedap this time were Regional I Director, Regional Development Deputy at Bappenas, Abdul Malik Sadat Idris and Jakarta Bappeda Head, Atika Nur Rahmania.
Acting Governor Heru Commits to Resolving Stunting in JakartaAccording to President, Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's direction, cities in Indonesia could become an economic engine that is not based only on Java or Jakarta, but also spreads across other cities.
"So, later, the growth can be in IKN, Jakarta, and other cities. Just like in other countries, cities grow and develop. Jakarta can become a business, financial, trade city and service center," he expressed.
He explained Jakarta is a barometer for inflation which influences overall or national inflation. Aside that, development in Jakarta was increasingly complete, starting from infrastructure and transportation. He also believed that investment growth needs to be maintained.
"Cities in the world are assessed by whether their residents feel comfortable living in a city or not, are their infrastructure and green open spaces developed? Including investment growth, what is the economic impact on Indonesia? This of course already exists in Jakarta, we just need to maintain it," he explained.
He explained that Jakarta still has challenges as a Global City. Thereby, the ASN under Jakarta Provincial Government could understand Jakarta's future after it was no longer the capital.
"It is possible that Jakarta could later be called Jakarta Special Region (DKJ) or Jakarta Special Economic Region. Bappeda and Bappenas can explain the direction of Jakarta, but I ask all ASNs to understand what the meaning of Jakarta towards a Global City is," he explained.
Jakarta BPKD Head, Michael Rolandi said Kopi Sedap was held to make SKPD under the Jakarta Government as a learning organization. Hopefully, it could share or enrich the understanding of all ASNs on issues that support the SKPD's main tasks and functions.
He added today's participants would get a certificate from Jakarta BPSDM and had met two hours of training for every episode of Kopi Sedap. Thus, hopefully, the fulfillment of the minimum 40-hour training a year can be achieved by taking part in Kopi Sedap, which is held every Thursday morning.
"This is a medium that can be used to convey programs, policies, and understanding related to Jakarta towards a Global City to ASN friends. Hopefully, other SKPDs can use this communication channel well," he stated.
