Malam Muda Mudi: City to Hold MSME Bazaar and Jakarta Great Sale Festival

To make the Malam Muda Mudi Jakarta Kota Global Festival (Youngster Night) a success on New Year's Eve 2023-2024, the Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM), participated in several activities, starting from MSME Bazaar, Jakarta Great Sale Festival, and monitoring the use of hazardous materials in the food products of MSME Bazaar participants to ensure the safety of culinary products being marketed.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo disclosed that besides enlivening the festival, the MSME bazaar is held to provide a marketing platform for coached MSMEs who are members of the Jakpreneur program.

"We involved 42 tenants in the form of electrical stalls for 84coached MSMEs whose locations are spread across bazaar points on Jalan Sunda, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Jalan Baturaja, Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur 5, Jalan Bendungan Hilir, and Jalan Pintu Satu Senayan," she expressed, in the Jakarta Provincial Government's press release, Wednesday (12/27).

She explained several shopping centers/malls in Jakarta would also brighten up New Year's Eve by participating in the Jakarta Great Sale Festival. They were Plaza Senayan, Season City, Lippo Plaza Kramat Jati, Central Park Mall, Neo Soho Mall, and Grand Indonesia. The best prices would be given to increase spending on domestic products.

Her agency also monitored the use of hazardous substances in food products for the participants of the coached MSME Bazaar and street vendors (PKL) who would sell in the green trading zone from Jalan Sudirman to Thamrin.

"This is done to check the safety of the culinary products served and detect the use of dangerous ingredients or substances in the product mixture. For coached MSME culinary products, the monitoring will be held five days before the Malam Muda Mudi Jakarta Festival, while monitoring for street vendors in the green zone will be held on December 31," she concluded.
