After the weekend and the New Year holidays 2024, state civil apparatuses (ASN) under the Jakarta Provincial Government have returned to work.

The Jakarta Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) noted that the ASN attendance rate on the first day of work reached 94.31% and 5.27% were absent.

She asserted employees who were absent without valid information would get sanctions. It is stated in Government Regulation Number 94/2021 on Civil Servant Discipline. The steps taken were to first be examined by their direct superior, and if found guilty, they would be subject to disciplinary sanctions.
"We'd been monitoring employee attendance since Friday, December 29, 2023, to ensure employee presence and the implementation of their duties as they should. BKD ensures that official duties and services continue to run because each regional apparatus is responsible for its respective duties and functions," she added, as quoted by Jakarta Government's press release.
Until today, the BKD had yet to receive reports regarding service problems from the public on the first day of entry after the New Year holiday.
