Aerial Cables on Jalan Swadaya Duren Sawit Controlled

Some 25 joint personnel, controlled aerial cables along Jalan Swadaya, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Wednesday (1/24). It is conducted to prevent unwanted things and maintain the beauty of the city.

East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Head, Benhard Hutajulu said the cables were controlled, as there were many cables dangling, loose, and broken. It also made the area chaotic.

To speed up it, his party deployed two ladder vehicles at the location.

"This is done for security, comfort, and maintaining beauty," he expressed.

City Utility Infrastructure and Public Street Lighting Section Head, Yanuar Ikhsan explained the length of the overhead cable being laid down at this location reached more than two kilometers. The point starts from the intersection of the East Flood Canal (KBT) to the intersection of Jalan Laksamana Malahayati.

"It is targeted for completion in a week," he stated.

Duren Sawit Sub-district's Economy and Development Section Acting Head, Supriyanto added it is part of community service.

"Don't let overhead cables that are criss-crossing and dangling be left to cause casualties," he stressed.

Its installation must be in accordance with procedures to produce maximum results. Of course, personnel must work professionally.

In carrying out the arrangements, the Task Force was also urged to maintain vehicle routes to avoid traffic jams. It aimed to speed up the work. By so, the Jalan Swadaya area would be the same as Jalan Laut Arafuru which is neatly arranged.

"The Jalan Laut Arafuru area is neat and could be a pilot or model in the Duren Sawit area," he uttered.
