Cheap Staple Food Program Held in RPTRA Kayu Mas

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, opened the cheap staple food program held in RPTRA Kayu Mas, Pulogadung Urban Village, Pulogadung, Monday (1/29). The program is also cooperated with PT Suri Nusantara Jaya through its CSR.

He said that the program will be held gradually in 65 urban villages. As for the first stage, the program is held in five urban villages up to next Friday.

Heru: Cheap Staple Food Program should Assist Residents

He explained that 1,000 packages consisting 5 liters of rice, 2 liters of cooking, 1 kilogram of sugar, and 1 kilogram of flour will be prepared in each locations. The package is sold Rp 100,000.

The urban village side prepares coupon for the residents.

"Our target is implementing the program in 65 urban villages," he said.

Operational Manager PT Suri Nusantara Jaya, Tony Adrian, added the program is held alternately in Makasar Urban Village, Penggilingan, Ciracas, and Pondok Rangon Urban Villages this week.

"It is hoped the program will assist the resident much," he added.

Meanwhile, Mujiati (29), one of local residents, admitted the the program is helping her much since the price is cheaper compared to the market.

"We hope similar program will be held routinely," she hoped.
