The Jakarta Provincial Government appreciates the Australian Embassy, especially the Indonesian and Australian Partnership for Infrastructure (KIAT), which has provided support for development programs and efforts to advance the City of Jakarta.
Hopefully, this synergy can continue in the long term
One of KIAT's support to the Jakarta Government is the preparation of a study regarding the Transit-Oriented Development and Pedestrian-Oriented Design (TOD-POD) master plan and Public Transport Performance Benchmarking (PTPB) which was held in August 2022 - December 2023.
City Secretary's Regional Cooperation Bureau Head, Marulina Dewi said the Jakarta Government is preparing the Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD) 2025-2045 to become a competitive global city. According to her, to make it happen required support from various parties.

This effort will keep being maintained to answer increasingly complex urban challenges while improving the quality of life of the community," she expressed on the sidelines of the Handover of Results from Transit-Oriented Development and Pedestrian-Oriented Design (TOD-POD) and Public Transport Performance Benchmarking (PTPB) activities, Wednesday (1/31).
She explained the TOD-POD master plan preparation at the pilot project location in the Klender Lama Station area could be an example of data-based regional planning, collaboration with stakeholders, and comprehensive surveys.
With a good planning process, she hoped that there would be more areas that are livable and pedestrian friendly and pay attention to Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion in Jakarta.
She also hoped that this study could improve the performance of the Jakarta Government and Jakarta BUMD in the transportation sector, as well as improve the connectivity of the mass public transportation system in Jakarta to make it more efficient and effective.
"Hopefully, this synergy can continue in the long term to ensure sustainable development in Jakarta," she hoped.
Today's activity was filled with discussion sessions to understand and reflect further on the results and recommendations in formulating land use development plans and better managing public transportation services in Jakarta.
"Hopefully, the partnership that has been established so far can continue to be developed and provide benefits to the wider community," she stated.
