During long holiday from Thursday (2/8) to Sunday (2/11), the Ragunan Zoo (TMR) had welcomed 108,000 tourists, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.

TMR's Service and Public Relations Staff, Wahyudi Bambang said the number of tourist visits during long holiday was higher compared to normal days, which were only 3,000-5,000 tourists.
"The peak of visits occurred on Saturday (2/10)," he expressed, Monday (2/12).

"We get support from the police and Transportation Agency (Dishub) to regulate traffic," he explained.
At the Chinese New Year or Imlek celebration, there was no special activities such as lion dance performances. It was because TMR is a silent area considering the animals have different noise tolerance levels.
"To give the impression of a Chinese New Year celebration, we put up lanterns and knick-knacks in busy corners and ticket counters," he explained.
Prasetio (28), a resident from Cinere, Depok admitted he chose to spend the long holiday with his family at TMR. Besides affordable entrance ticket prices, traveling to TMR could also improve children's knowledge of various animals in the world.
