Inundation Survivors in Rawa Terate Receive Assistance

Residents affected by inundation on Jalan Krama Yudha, RT 010/005 Rawa Teratai, Cakung, last Wednesday (2/14), received assistance from the East Jakarta Social Sub-agency and PMI.

East Jakarta Social Sub-agency Acting Governor, Abdul Salam said the assistance provided was in the form of 600 boxes of packaged rice meals plus mineral water.

"No assistance this thursday, because there was no request from the urban village," he expressed, Thursday (2/15).

Inundation Survivors in East Jakarta Receive Logistical Aids

His party would provide assistance if there was a request from the urban village, thus it was right on target and according to needs in the community.

Rawa Teratai Urban Village Secretary, Daniel Wisnu Parulin explained the 68-centimeter-high inundation in the RT 10/05 area had receded at 5 PM yesterday. While, the inundation at RT 16/04 receded earlier, around 2 PM.

"Assistance is from the East Jakarta Social Sub-agency and PMI," he added.

East Jakarta PMI's Public Relations and Communication Section Head, Agus Bastian uttered his party also provided assistance in the form of 600 loaves of bread and mineral water for residents' needs in the afternoon.

"All assiatance was distributed at the urban village office, to then be distributed to residents," he said.
