407 Vehicles Netted Due to Illegal Parking

The raid against illegal parking is re-intensified in Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta, Thursday (4/16). As a result, as many as 407 vehicles are netted by Joint personnels from Jakarta Communications and Transportations Department, Satpol PP, and Polices. 

Actually it is clearly prohibited parking in here, yet we can see the violation increased, we have to control them thus the traffic would be smooth again

Based on Beritajakarta.com, the raid was conducted start from Tanah Abang to Block C Market area. Some parking attendants were seen trying to save motorcycles get into Jalan Jatibaru 10. As many 18 vehicles were transported using 2 operational trucks. While 389 vehicles left were given a sanction by unplugging tire valve. 

Vice Head of Jakarta Communications Department, Pargaulan Butar-Butar stated, the massive raid was conducted as illegal parking on the area continues to rampant. All this time the officer has repeatedly appealed the riders not to park on the location.

"Actually it is clearly prohibited parking in here, yet we can see the violation increased, we have to control them thus the traffic would be smooth again," he disclosed, Thursday(4/16). 

Siti Rohayati (16), a student whose motorcycle netted just crying when she sees her motorcycle transported by officers. 

"I only park in here once, we were instructed by the parking attendant, it's just for a while," she said.
