367 Vehicles Towed Due to Illegal Parking In N.Jakarta

Although officers from North Jakarta Communications Sub-Department have intensively raided illegal parking on the area, it does not give deterrent effect for the citizens. 

Until this time, there have been 367 cars towed due to park illegally

Throughout January-March 2015, as many as 367 cars were towed by officers from some locations in North Jakarta. In detail, January(105 cars), February (117 cars) and until this March(145 cars). Then the drivers should pay for fine amounted to Rp 500,000. 

Head of North Jakarta Communications and Transportation Sub-Department, Syamsuddin claimed, Although intensified raiding has been done, yet the numbers of illegal parking keep growing. 

12 Vehicles Towed Due to Illegal Parking

"Until this time, there have been 367 cars towed due to park illegally. It seems the awareness of citizens for legal parking is still low," said Syamsuddin, Thursday (3/26).

Beside towing 367 cars, he added, his side also unplug the tube and lock their vehicles, it is also applied for motorcycles. 

"During almost 3 months, more than 2.240  netted cars and motorcycles were locked, unplugged the tube, BAP, towed, and stopped," he disclosed.
