21 Motorbikes in South Jakarta Netted while Opposing Traffic

Due to opposing traffic, some 21 motorbikes were netted in the operation held by personnel of the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency together with police and army (TNI), Wednesday (3/20).

This operation involved 40 joint personnel

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head, Bernad Octavianus Pasaribu said the operation was focused on Jalan Pondok Labu and Jalan Ciputat Raya.

"This operation involved 40 joint personnel," he expressed.

He explained those motorbikes were ticketed by the police to have a deterrent effect.

"We want to tighten traffic discipline. Violations against the flow are prone to causing accidents and can be dangerous," he explained.

Therefore, people can prioritize safety when driving and not commit traffic violations.

"Don't break the rules just because you want to get to your destination faster, this is very dangerous," he stressed.

The operation received appreciation from one of the Kebayoran Lama residents, Trias (35).

"It must be a routine agenda, thus everyone who passes by is safe and protected from danger," she stated.
