C. Jakarta Dukcapil Has Deactivated 2,989 KTPs of Died Residents

During the period from April 1 to 15, 2024, the Central Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-agency (Dukcapil) has noted that 4,139 residents had died. Of that number, 2,898 of them have had their NIK or KTP deactivated.

Central Jakarta Dukcapil Sub-agency Head, Syamsul Bahri stated, the data obtained is the result of the initial stage of structuring and controlling population documents which targeted death rate data for residents whose KTPs are still active.
"The rest is 1,150 KTPs, we have requested via official letter to the Home Ministry to deactivate it," he said, Tuesday (4/23).

Central Jakarta Secretary Government Assistant, Denny Ramdany stated there were a number of RTs in his area that had been deleted. One of them, several RTs in Kemayoran were affected by the construction of the Athlete's House.
He explained the arrangement and ordering of population documents according to domicile was to create orderly population administration by presenting provincial scale data from Net Population Data (DKB), thereby producing accurate and accountable data.
