Hundreds of Satpol PP personnel and janitors are prepared to smoothen and maintain the declaration of the city's 497th anniversary on Sunday (5/19).

They will maintain order and provide security to all residents attending tomorrow

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin explained as many as 500 personnel would be deployed to support 321 existing personnel who routinely work every week in the Car Free Day (CFD) area along Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin.

In total, there would be around 821 personnel of Satpol PP at 12 points to help regulate traffic for residents in the event.

"They will maintain order and provide security to all residents attending tomorrow. We have also coordinated with the police to handle security disturbances or crime," he explained, Saturday (5/18).

He also set up 10 command posts around Bundaran HI. The public can report criminal acts, such as theft, fights, immoral acts, and accidents, as well as loss of family during events.

Jakarta Environment Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto uttered as many as 500 janitors would be on standby during the event, including 20 units of road sweepers, four units of inorganic trucks, six units of compactor trucks, four units of dirty water tanks, and four units of clean water tanks.

"Then ten toilet buses for visitors," he explained.

So, the public is urged to maintain cleanliness by not littering.

"Let's work together to keep all areas in the city of Jakarta clean and comfortable for all," he closed.
