The population administration structuring program is still a priority for the Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Agency (Disdukcapil). It includes deactivating the Population Identification Number (NIK) of residents who do not match their domicile.
Disdukcapil will continue to approach stakeholders who use NIK in their services
This policy is needed for orderly administration of the population, reducing potential regional losses, as well as potential misuse of population documents.
Thus far, Disdukcapil has collected data on population transfers for 213,831 residents who do not live in Jakarta. This number is predicted to keep increasing considering many residents have Jakarta ID cards but in fact no longer live in Jakarta.
Disdukcapil Ready to Issue Adminduk After Idul FitriJakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono paid special attention to this matter. He was present directly at the Dukcapil gathering at the Graha Bhakti Budaya TIM Building, Central Jakarta, last Wednesday (5/22).
"Anyone can come to Jakarta and look for work in Jakarta because the city of Jakarta is here for Indonesia. However, what is not permitted is the use of KTPs that do not comply with applicable regulations. The management and control conducted by Disdukcapil is to maintain the accuracy of population data, thus stakeholders who use KTPs in their services can be properly validated," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta Provincial Government's presss release, Monday (5/27).
In line with that, Jakarta Disdukcapil Head, Budi Awaluddin emphasized the urgency of conducting the current population management structuring and control program. He assessed, socialization and coordination were also held with parties who had been the users of population data.
"To make the program for structuring and controlling population administration a success, Disdukcapil will continue to approach stakeholders who use NIK in their services. This is done to ensure the accuracy of population data for institutions that use basic services via NIK," he explained.
KTPs are utilized and used in various services such as BPJS services, education, motor vehicle registration, driving licenses, banking, passport ownership, and others. Therefore, the accuracy of population data is deemed very important to maintain security and validate ownership.
He admitted his presence was an injection of enthusiasm that gave motivation to employees in running their duties.
"Besides him, there were also Disdukcapil officials from Bodetabek, OPD heads to BUMD directors in Jakarta. This event has given new energy to the population administration service officers in carrying out the population administration management program successfully this year," he stressed.
