500 Participants Visit Cultural and Historical Tourism Sites

As many as 500 participants from students, community and North Jakarta PKK cadres were invited to visit cultural and museum sites, Wednesday (6/19). The program is held based on Cultural and Historical Sites Visit 2024 program held by North Jakarta Culture Sub-agency.

North Jakarta Administration and Community Welfare Assistant, Muhammad Andri, said this activity is very good and important for the community as an educational tourism facility.

"This visit is an effort to raise awareness among the people of North Jakarta in increasing their understanding and motivating them to learn about history," he said, Wednesday (6/19).

He added this visit can also give impression that visiting museum and cultural sites in Jakarta is currently a comfortable and enjoyable place.

"I hope they can share their experiences with their families and neighbors, especially children," he added.

Meanwhile North Jakarta Culture Sub-agency's Protection Section Head, Aep Tursaman, explained the program was divided into two groups.

First group, or today, was participated by 300 participants namely 150 students of SMA/SMKN, 100 community of Majelis Taklim, and 50 North Jakarta PKK cadres.

"Second group, that is tomorrow, will be participated by 200 participants from SMAN/SMKN students and their teachers," he explained.

According to him, the program is an annual program. Destination to be visited are Kebaharian Museum, Wayang Museum, Seni Rupa dan Keramik Museum, and Kota Tua.

"We want the participants to be able to preserve the culture and historical heritage in Jakarta. Then, foster a love for the younger generation to preserve culture with the knowledge and insight gained," he added.

Meanwhile, one of participants from SMAN 15 Jakarta, Dini Safara (16), admitted happy to take a part in this program.

"I can find out more about collections and historical places in Jakarta. Hopefully it can continue to be held, especially with students or younger generation participants," she stated.
