Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma, emphasized the importance of joint commitment to overcome the stunting problem. The statement was stated when holding a stunting discussion in the Pattern Room of the Mayor's Office, Tuesday (6/25).

According to him, eight convergence actions were a strategy that was quite effective in reducing stunting. The stunting convergence includes leadership vision and commitment, communication about behavior change, food security related to nutritional intake, and then data and information management.

"Today we are building a joint commitment through stunting consultation activities which will be strengthened by regulations," he said.

He explained the joint commitment made was not just a signing but also had to be conducted as an inherent responsibility to all related parties to run the mandate in reducing stunting rates.

He asserted that everything that is done must have positive target achievements or progress. However, strategy in the field would be the key to success.

"With togetherness, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of achievement targets, I'm sure we can reduce the stunting rate," he asserted.

Central Jakarta Regional Planning and Development Agency Sub-agency Head, Agus Sanyoto explained that in this activity, the signing of a commitment to eight Convergence Actions for Stunting Prevention and Reduction was conducted as well as Minutes of Results of the Stunting Consultation Agreement 2024.

Its signing is a form of joint commitment within the Central Jakarta administration to prevent stunting reduction.

"Including sub-district and urban village levels will also play an active role," he stated.
