The Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency (Tamhut) has noted that as many as 6,369 trees in eight sub-districts have been pruned and cut down from January to June 2024.

Central Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency Head,ila Ananda stated tree pruning in Central Jakarta was conducted to anticipate unwanted things.

Therefore, residents are expected to report by telephone 112 or various other channels on CRM if there are trees that are prone to falling or disrupting utilities and officers will respond quickly.

Lane and Cemetery Section Head, Budi Hidayat said that from 6,369 trees pruned, 30 were cut down and 6,339 were pruned. Last year, personnel pruned around 8,897 trees.

"Ahead of the rainy season, we will intensify monitoring and pruning of shady trees that are prone to falling," he stated.
