Government buildings and structures under the Central Jakarta administration will become pilot projects for energy savings and audits conducted by the Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Nakertransgi).

Jakarta Nakertransgi Agency Head, Hari Nugroho said energy audit activities for government buildings were planned to last for the next three months.
"The energy audit includes checking electrical installations, use of AC types and lights," he explained, during socialization in the Block A Pattern Room of the Central Jakarta Mayor's Office, Wednesday (7/24).

If the building is in the medium or high cost energy category, he asserted that he would recommend the management to make repairs. As a step, it would target regional government buildings.
"Central Jakarta is indeed our pilot project. The target is to save energy," he asserted.
Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Chaidir uttered his party would immediately conduct an energy audit at the mayor's office, urban village, sub-district, and community health centers as an initial stage.
"We were given one month. Not only to save energy, this audit will definitely provide a sense of comfort for employees so that unwanted things don't happen," he stated.
