Incenerators Damaged, Burning Waste in Thousands Islands Still Manual

The janitors in Thousands Islands had to burn trash manually due to seven incinerator units  are damaged. Besides from local people, the waste also comes from the land that carried over from the sea.

Of the 10 incinerators, only 3 of them are active. I also have requested the inci nerator procurement in 2015 budget

"Of the 10 incinerators, only 3 of them are active. I also have requested the incinerator procurement in 2015 budget," told Thousands Islands Regent, Tri Djoko Sri Margianto, Friday (5/8). 

According to Margianto, all islands should have incinerator to resolve the waste problem. "If the Thousands Island Cleanliness Sub-Department is unable to solve the problem, we can replace its head," he asserted.

Moreover, he added, there is a large waste treatment in Tidung Island but it has not been operated until now due to information system problem.
