SDA Agency's Alkal Implementer Unit Distributes 10 New Crane Trucks

Water Resource (SDA) Agency's Equipment and Tool (Alkal) Implementer Unit Head, Nurman said the three-ton capacity trucks have been distributed to sub-agencies in East Jakarta by four units, West Jakarta three units, Central Jakarta two units, and South Jakarta one unit.

"The trucks are produced locally by Hino, but the crane is produced by Ferrari," he said, Wednesday (11/4).

According to him, all of these crane trucks have been checked for conformity with the specifications by an independent expert team from the Indonesian Classification Bureau (BKI) and their functions have been tested at its office in the Pinang Ranti area, Makasar, East Jakarta and the results are very good.

"The procurement of this crane truck is needed for transporting, raising and lowering u-ditch, box cluvert or other concrete materials," he added.

Nurman continued, the procurement of this crane truck is also to speed up the physical work process, especially during the construction of water channels in residential areas.

"Truck crane operators have received training and certification. So the way they operate is in accordance with procedure," he continued.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency's Maintenance Section Head, Puryanto Palebangan, admitted his side appreciated the crane truck assistance.

According to him, previously the transportation of materials and concrete slabs used large crane trucks. So they cannot enter residential areas with narrow road access.

"We will use the truck for physical project in 10 sub-districts. Especially in residential areas," he admitted.
